Worn with attitude, it hits all the right notes.Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim will take place in Miami Beach, Florida at The Raleigh from July 19th-July 23rd, 2012. Maybe it’s the uber sophisticated shade of black or the high cut bottoms, but this swimsuit doesn’t look the least bit trashy. The knotted twist in the front also keeps it from being a snoozefest. This one works though because of its pared-down simplicity. Leopard prints on swimsuits have the potential to make the wearer look like they found it in a stripper’s closet. Dreamy, sweet and pretty, this one will make any girl look like a tasty dessert. This two-piece reminds us of the Paddle Pop ice cream sticks we used to love – or strawberry swirl ice cream. This is so gorgeous it would even work when worn under jeans or a playful flared skirt for a girls’ night out Perhaps our favourite of the lot, this classy number with the slightly bejeweled strap wins hands down in the style stakes. We think there’s nothing more beautiful than vintage art brought to life in surprising ways. What’s more special is the classic Renaissance painting printed on it. High-cut bottoms are a hot trend for swimwear, and this bandeau two-piece swimsuit ticks all the right boxes. Taking away the tassels would help somewhat, but we wish this pretty snakeskin print was remade in a completely different design instead. Tassels, snakeskin print and a plunging cut all come together to create this mess of a swimsuit. We never thought anything could be this hideous. This one should have never made it to the runway. Not only does the material look flimsy and cheap, the strap running across the front of the skimpy swimsuit is more tacky than sexy. This looks like it came right out of the reject bin at a sex shop. What really gets us though, is how the cut is less than flattering, weird even. ![]() Are those leopard spots or are they grey-coloured kisses? We can’t tell, and anything we can’t figure out is almost always bad, and this swimsuit isn’t an exception. ![]()
